Life is a great ocean of potentials. We are sailing on this ocean and we are the captain of our own ship. In order to set our destination and to sail where we want to sail, we have to maintain our vessel in good condition, we need to know the workings of our ship, the workings of the tides, the currents and the weather.
Our development and the understanding of the working of our minds is the greatest determinant of whether or not we reach our destination. Even more important, it determines the pleasure we experience in our journey. Either one full of unpredictable storms that we cannot control or a peaceful and controlled journey in which we can fully enjoy the opportunities life throws at us.
If we want to learn how to navigate stormy seas in a smooth and effective way we have to pay attention. Attention, awareness or consciousness is something that we tend to lack during the majority of our lives. If we want to feel the connection with the Moment, the NOW, or God, the Creator, or whatever way one looks at it; we have to become sensitive and conscious. We are a part of universal creation, just as creation is a part of us. When we awaken, we can flow and create harmoniously with the universal creative force.
Naturally, we are conscious, sensitive and creative beings that have the power and the right to decide our state of mind. We experience life with both our bodies and minds. If they are healthy and ‘correctly tuned’, a harmonious life unfolds in and around us. On the other hand, if we are unaware of the workings of them and live unconsciously, we will be victims of all the negative states our thoughts and actions produce in our daily life and call it faith.

A mission to inspire the world to live more healthy, conscious and empowered
Everyone, and that includes you, has a wonderful power within. A power to observe, heal and manifest. Many people don’t realize they have that divine power within, however, some have connected with that source of power within and want to share with others how to do that as well. Michaël is grateful that from a young age he has felt this connection with that source and has learned various techniques on how to cultivate that ‘light within’ to live a healthy, joyful and abundant life. When one has truly felt the bubbling source of divine consciousness within, one will live his life in the service of others, because that is the true purpose of this life. We are one and connected in spirit.
The Life Awareness Project is founded by Michaël Bijker who’s life is in the service to inspire and empower people. Michaël has been traveling around the world encountering knowledge for his passion for body and mind work, especially Meditation, Yoga, Qi Gong and breathwork. His teachings have helped many from all over the world. Focusing on training mind and body to help each person to get to know it’s real nature and essence and to free your mind.
He has been practising and studying mind training and meditation since the age of 14 and studied QiGong and Yoga since having to recover from a severe car accident that happened in the year 2001. By the powerful methods of QiGong and Yoga and the grace of God he was able to recover from injuries of which medical professionals considered he would probably not heal. Since then, his life is dedicated to helping others to learn these wonderful techniques. Techniques that will not only give health, focus and strength, but make us realize what we truly are and what is our calling and the essence in life.
His teachings are focused to help to encourage the individual self-study and self-practice. It is the aim to improve one’s self discipline and insight to gain wisdom and power that comes from within oneself. By doing so one gets empowered by the teacher and not dependent.
He now lives in portugal with his wife and 2 children where he teaches yoga, meditation, breathwork and mind training on the retreats he organizes in Sagres
Michaël is a (800hr YTT) certified teacher with a yoga therapy certification from Paramanand Institute of Yoga Science & Research in Indore, India, where he studied under the loving and wise guidance of Dr. Omanand – Guruji.
